Aegar, the Freezing Flame is here to pack a big punch. With his ability, we can demolish our foes with devastating force, and keep the beating going. Every time we do more damage to a creature with a spell than is required to kill it, we get to draw a card. Furthermore, our giants and wizards can also cause us to draw more cards, either with damage oriented enter the battlefield effects, or plain old combat damage. With a few kill spells, our enemies will fall while our giants stand tall.
The most effective way to kill our opponents creatures is with damaging spells. Single target spells will act as cantrips, removing our opponents Commanders and threats, while sweeping board wipes will clear out the rank and file while giving us huge bursts of card draw. Polymorphist's jest will ensure that we can overkill all of an opponent's creatures with a simple two damage earthquake, while damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation can make each one of our spells an absolute devastation.
Giants are our main source of creatures. Not only do they directly synergize with Aegar, but they are big enough to withstand some of our board sweepers such as Storm's Wrath. Some of them can even dish out damage as they enter the battlefield, such as Inferno Titan and Thundercloud Shaman. Every time we attack or block with them, we are potentially generating free card draw, giving us fuel to keep playing more giants. Bloodfire Colossus can also act as a huge source of card draw, acting as another powerful board wipe spell, while still proccing Aegar's draw ability as a giant.
Wizards may not stand quite as tall as giants in this deck, but they can give us precious value, while giving us a better mana curve. With enough small creatures to target, Irenclag Pyromancer can act like a Phyrexian arena, giving us an extra card every turn as it pings off our opponents small fries. Dualcaster mage can copy our damage spells, letting us kill an additional creature and thus cantripping in the process. Mercurial Chemister is also a great way to kill enemies while making use of any high mana spells in our hand.
